Sony releases the first Madame Web trailer, featuring Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney in the upcoming movie of the live-action Spider-Man universe.
Johnson takes on the role of Cassandra Webb, also known as Madame Web, while Sweeney portrays Julia Carpenter, aka Spider-Woman. However, the trailer hints that they won’t be the sole web-slingers in the movie.
Madame Web‘s psychic powers, enabling her to glimpse into the future, come into play as she joins forces with three other Spideys. The Madame Web trailer suggests a potential team-up movie as they unite to confront the antagonist Ezekiel Sims. The cast also includes Isabela Merced, Emma Roberts, Adam Scott, Celeste O’Connor, Tahar Rahim, Mike Epps and Zosia Mamet.
Following the immense success of Sony Pictures Animation’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, there is a significant demand for all things wall-crawling and web-swinging. Madame Web is the newest addition in the live-action Spider-Man universe, joining the ranks of previous releases such as Tom Hardy‘s Venom (2018), Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021), and Jared Leto’s Morbius (2022).
Madame Web will release in cinemas on February 14, 2024. Check out the trailer below.
