Stranger Things Star Teases A ‘Very Moving’ Ending

STRANGER THINGS

David Harbour, who plays Hopper, reveals that he knows what happens in the Stranger Things season 5 finale, and it’s an emotional ending.

Stranger Things’ upcoming fifth season will mark the series’ farewell, tying up not only the more unearthly components of the plot, but also the emotional bonds between the characters. Harbour speaks with Josh Horowitz for the Happy Sad Confused podcast about the upcoming finale in an interview done prior to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strikes. While Harbour hasn’t read the script for the last episode yet, he knows it will be a roller coaster of emotions.

“I have not, but I know what it is. I know where we net out and it’s very, very moving. That is the term I will use, that is the one word I will use, is ‘moving.'”

He also showed his excitement to go back to wrap up the filming. “I’m excited to go back, I’m excited to wrap it up in a bold, amazing way. I’m excited to really swing with this character, because you know that they’re gonna pay off these O.G. characters — Eleven, Hopper, Joyce, Will, Mike — they’re gonna pay them off in big ways because they’ve lived with you for the past eight years.”

Stranger Things Season 4 concluded last summer, and production on Season 5 began early this year, before the writers’ strike. The authors are unable to work on Season 5 scripts due to the limitations.
