Following the release of a chess game inspired by the hit series The Queen’s Gambit, Netflix is in talks for Black Mirror video game.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Netflix is planning to put greater emphasis on developing games based on its popular shows including Squid Game, Wednesday, Extraction and Black Mirror.

The streaming service hopes to follow in the footsteps of Hollywood by licencing important third-party content to add to its booming first-party collection.

Netflix will continue to sell popular third-party games such as Bloons TD 6 and Classic Solitaire. It has also considered publishing a game in the Grand Theft Auto series under a licensing arrangement with Rockstar owner Take-Two.

Black Mirror explores dark and twisted scenarios involving technology, like a beauty-ranking social network or a device for recording and replaying memories. The show has been acclaimed for its boldness and creativity, as well as its humorous and thought-provoking tone.
