I know we were going to be May 3,” Levy said. “Certainly, the actors’ strike and the long pause in production have put that release date in true risk. We’ve shot half the movie. I’ve edited half the movie. We’re dying to get back to work and get this movie out next year.”
During the same interview, Shawn Levy was asked about the popular rumor regarding Taylor Swift potentially playing Dazzler in Deadpool 3. Levy neither confirmed nor denied the speculation, teasing that fans will have to “wait and see.” This rumor gained traction when Swift was seen with Levy, Hugh Jackman, and Ryan Reynolds at an NFL match between the Kansas City Chiefs and the New York Jets. “They sure are loud,” Levy commented about eager fans. “I’m going across the board. ‘No comment’ because that’s a double whammy.
