Netflix releases the first trailer for Sam Email’s Leave the World Behind which takes us on the ride of thrilling, spine-tingling revelations, and a dash of conspiracy theories.
The upcoming doomsday delight brings some major A-list firepower to the table. It has a star-studded ensemble featuring Mahershala Ali, Julia Roberts, Ethan Hawke, and Kevin Bacon. This post-apocalyptic thriller is serving up an extra layer of intensity.
Leave the World Behind, adapted from Rumaan Alam’s book of the same name, follows Amanda and her husband Clay, who rent a luxurious home for the weekend with their kids, Archie and Rose.
Their vacation is disturbed when along come two strangers, G.H and his daughter Ruth. These midnight arrivals are dressed to impress and are armed with some seriously strange news about a cyberattack. What’s more, they insist that the vacation home belongs to them.
The Leave the World Behind trailer also shows Kevin Bacon as some sort of apocalyptic survivalist who feels “we’ve all been deserted.”

A family’s vacation is upended when two strangers arrive at night, seeking refuge from a cyberattack that grows more terrifying by the minute, forcing everyone to come to terms with their places in a collapsing world.
Netflix is keeping the best of both worlds with its double-decker release. The thrilling movie hits select theaters on November 22nd, followed by the grand streaming premiere on Netflix starting December 8th.
