Adam Driver’s remarkable talent shines once again as he steps into the shoes of wealthy Italian businessmen on screen. After his impressive role in House of Gucci, Driver is set to mesmerize audiences as automobile mogul Enzo Ferrari in Michael Mann’s upcoming film Ferrari. Neon has just released the first trailer, offering a thrilling glimpse into this high-octane story. The excitement peaks as the movie premieres at the Venice Film Festival.

Along with Driver, Penelope Cruz stars as his wife Laura Ferrari, and Shailene Woodley adding intrigue as his mistress Lina Lardi. The excitement doesn’t stop there – the movie features Patrick Dempsey as racer Piero Taruffi, Jack O’Connell as Peter Collins, Sarah Gadon as Linda Christian, and Gabriel Leone as Alfonso de Portago.

The Ferrari trailer shows the spotlight onto the year 1957, a year etched with significance. From the impending Mille Miglia race disaster to Enzo Ferrari’s personal struggles and legal woes following the tragic accident, the film paints a vivid picture of a year marked by both triumph and tragedy.

The official synopsis reads, “Ferrari is set during the summer of 1957. Ex-race car driver, Ferrari, is in crisis. Bankruptcy stalks the company he and his wife, Laura, built from nothing 10 years earlier. Their tempestuous marriage struggles with the mourning for one son and the acknowledgment of another. He decides to counter his losses by rolling the dice on one race – 1,000 miles across Italy, the iconic Mille Miglia.”

Mann directs from a script co-written with the late Troy Kennedy Martin, and co-produces with P.J. van Sandwijk, Niels Juul, Qi Lin, John Lesher, Lars Sylvest, Monika Bacardi, Thorsten Schumacher, Andrea Iervolino, Gareth West, and Thomas Hayslip.
