The official Doctor Who Season 14 trailer has just been released, unveiling Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor. In the preview, Gatwa’s Doctor is seen training companion Ruby to face the challenges that await beyond the bounds of the universe.
Sex Education star took over the role in the 60th Anniversary special, The Giggle, after a bi-generational transformation initiated by Neil Patrick Harris’ Toymaker. This gave David Tennant’s Fourteenth Doctor the opportunity to lead a tranquil and serene existence.
In the trailer, Gatwa’s Fifteenth Doctor is seen introducing Millie Gibson’s Ruby Sunday to the enchanting realm of the TARDIS; setting the stage for the thrilling time-traveling escapades that lie ahead. The preview captures moments of the duo honing their skills, preparing for perilous challenges that extend “beyond the universe.”
The upcoming season is set to feature a stellar cast, with returning familiar faces Yasmin Finney and Bonnie Langford reprising their roles as Rose Noble and Mel Bush. Additionally, the season will introduce Jinkx Monsoon as the Doctor’s most powerful enemy to date.
The series returns to BBC One and BBC iPlayer in May 2024.
