Avatar The Last Airbender

The voice actor for Toph Beifong in Avatar: The Last Airbender, Michaela Jill Murphy gets emotional while watching the Netflix live-action adaptation trailer saying that it surpasses the 2010 film.

Michaela, recently shared her live reaction to upcoming live-action remake of the series. The show revolves around Aang, the last airbender and the Avatar capable of mastering all four elements. In the animated series, Murphy voiced Toph Beifong, a blind earthbender who aids in Aang’s training during season 2.

She got emotional, shedding tears while witnessing the series come to life in the live-action adaptation. She draws comparisons, particularly in the portrayal of bending, between the new rendition and M. Night Shyamalan’s 2010 film The Last Airbender, asserting that the updated version is a significant improvement.

The Netflix series will explore the same narrative as the film but with notable distinctions, such as enhanced bending abilities. These differences suggest that the series aims to serve as a superior remake of the original animated series.

Avatar: The Last Airbender season 1 will release on February 22, 2024.
