Slow Horses Season 5 Renewed at Apple TV+

Slow Horses Season 5

The Apple TV+ series Slow Horses, adapted from Mick Herron’s spy book series of the identical title, has been officially greenlit for a fifth season.

Gary Oldman, recognized with a recent Golden Globe nomination for his portrayal of the cantankerous intelligence operative Jackson Lamb in the series, is set to reprise his role. Joining him in the cast for the upcoming season are Kristin Scott Thomas as MI5 second desk Diana Taverner, Jack Lowden as the espionage legacy River Cartwright, and Christopher Chung as the confident tech whiz Roddy Ho.

“Everyone is suspicious when resident tech nerd Roddy Ho has a glamorous new girlfriend, but when a series of increasingly bizarre events occur across the city, it falls to the Slow Horses to work out how everything is connected. After all, Jackson Lamb knows that in the world of espionage, ‘London Rules’ should always apply,” reads the logline for Slow Horses Season 5.

The forthcoming Season 5 is slated to be based on Herron’s fifth book in the series, titled “London Rules.” The director for the season is yet to be officially confirmed.

Slow Horses, Apple’s espionage drama with a darkly comic twist, initially debuted in 2022 and swiftly gained popularity, emerging as one of its most-watched shows. The narrative revolves around a dysfunctional group of British intelligence agents who, due to various career setbacks, find themselves sidelined in Slough House, earning them the name Slow Horses.
