Ms. Marvel will make its broadcast television premiere in August. It will be the first of Marvel‘s Disney+ series to air on broadcast television.
According to TVLine, the first three episodes will run from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. ET/PT on Saturday, August 5, 2023. The second half of Season 1 will run the following week on Saturday, August 12, from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. ET/PT.
As a result of the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, Ms. Marvel could be the first of several streaming titles to appear on television in the coming months. With various productions affected by strikes, networks may be looking to fill some broadcast time in the autumn for series that will be lacking content.
Meanwhile, while Marvel is making its first foray into broadcast TV, it’s worth mentioning that ABC previously showed the pilot episode of The Mandalorian. CBS has also shown episodes of Paramount+ series like as Star Trek: Discovery, while NBC has broadcasted Peacock‘s The Resort.
Iman Vellani plays Kamala Khan, known as Ms. Marvel, a young Captain Marvel admirer who gets her own superpowers. Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, and Laurel Marsden all appear in the series.
There have been rumours that the series will be renewed for a second season. However, Season 2 has not yet been formally greenlit on Disney+. That being said, Iman Vellani will reprise her Ms. Marvel’s role in the next film The Marvels, which will be released in theatres on November 10, 2023.
