In a recent revelation that adds a touch of humor to their on-screen chemistry, Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) stars Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo confessed that they weren’t always sure about the meaning behind their dialogue in films.

During the Variety’s Actors on Actors, Downey Jr. aka Iron Man confessed that during their Marvel days, they weren’t sure of character’s lines. “I mean, in the Marvel days, everything might change or we’re talking to a tennis ball. You and I, the science bros, we would’ve these long passages about absolute gobbledygook.”

Ruffalo chimed in, acknowledging the intricate nature of the Marvel stories. “Yeah, but, we didn’t know what that was, what that meant.”

Downey Jr. continued saying, “But still it’s important to us because we know it’s important the characters. Yeah, it’d be really hard to dig in. I mean, we would just drive each other insane on set going, why can’t I retain this? But again, we know when it’s time to tighten things up a little bit.”
