Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 episode 14 received a lot of backlash from fans, but creator Gege Akutami stands firm against the controversy.
Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen has been captivating fans with its stunning episodes and a fresh art style. The animation team has consistently impressed viewers since the series began, but the latest episode left some fans feeling let down. Many of the criticisms are directed at MAPPA. Nevertheless, the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom finds itself divided once more, with some arguing that the animation was flawless and not lacking in any aspect
In the midst of the debate, Gege Akutami, the creator of Jujutsu Kaisen, spoke out in favor of the animators. In the message, Gege shares, “Thank you for season two, episode fourteen!! When the animation (in this case, the outline, the timing, and the actual drawings themselves) is so ridiculously good, I really do just laugh. I hope the people who have worked so incredibly hard for this whole experience and for this anime can be repaid more and more…..is all I have to say!!”
The demanding schedule of MAPPA’s animators is a well-known issue within the anime community. The animation studio consistently faces public scrutiny for allegedly pushing its animators to the limit.
One of the animators shared on Twitter/X, “The deadline was very tight, slightly more than three days, but thankfully, thanks to the support of the team, everything went smoothly! Of course, I also thank all of my friends’ support; it has been a very eventful past few weeks!”
