The full-length trailer for The Morning Show season 3 has been released on Apple TV+, and it appears to be a nail-biter. Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Billy Crudup will return to our screens for the global debut of the forthcoming series on September 13.

In third season, we pick up from the dramatic conclusion of the second season, where the UBA crew is left profoundly affected. The show’s focus now moves beyond the pandemic, centering on the cutthroat power struggles and intense rivalries within the morning show’s dynamic. As the team competes for their roles in a workplace marked by division, their unyielding values will be put to the ultimate test. Alex, portrayed by Aniston, wants to have more say in UBA’s direction. Simultaneously, the series explores a cyber attack targeting the network, adding another layer of tension to the narrative.

The official synopsis says, “In The Morning Show season three, the future of the network is thrown into question and loyalties are pushed to the brink when a tech titan takes an interest in UBA. Unexpected alliances form, private truths are weaponized, and everyone is forced to confront their core values both in and out of the newsroom.”

The Morning Show Season 3 trailer introduces Jon Hamm (Mad Men) as Paul Marks, a business magnate akin to Elon Musk—overflowing with wealth—and he enters the scene to rescue Cory from trouble. Additionally, viewers catch their initial glance of Nicole Beharie (Sleepy Hollow), who seems to clash with the ambitious Alex, hinting at a potential rivalry.

While Speaking to PEOPLE in June, Aniston hinted what fans can expect from the new season, she said, “It’s a good, juicy one. Everybody’s getting in trouble. Everybody has a secret. And everyone’s just walking the line. It’s a lot more sensual this year.”

Witherspoon particularly spoke about Hamm’s character with Deadline, “He is a very complex character,” explained Reese. “He’s a media mogul and he gives Billy Crudup a run for his money, which I think is the most fun part too, because Billy could eat a scene like I’ve never seen somebody eat a scene, and Hamm gets to come in and give him a great foil. It’s Alien vs. Predator.”
