Zendaya and Sam Levinson allegedly have a strained partnership after Levinson turned all his attention to The Idol and delayed submitting any scripts for Euphoria Season 3.
According to the THR, Emmy winning star Zendaya reportedly clashed with HBO executives as she felt Euphoria, was being neglected in favor of a new series. This frustration grew when rumors swirled about a toxic work environment at The Idol set and questionable content on the new show.
Additionally, she expressed concerns about the new show’s creator’s wife being a sole executive producer, fearing a lack of control over potentially excessive spending. HBO attempted to mend fences with a meeting, but it seems tensions lingered.
“They went from being so close, and they couldn’t fix it,” a source told Hollywood Reporter. Another source close to him blamed Zendaya, saying, “Everybody wanted to make it about Sam, but it was her.”
The third season will go in production in 2025.
