Glen Powell, a multi-talented star, is set to make his first appearance on Broadway alongside Emmy winner Ryan Murphy.
Having previously worked with Murphy on Scream Queens, Top Gun: Maverick star revealed to Vogue that he is joining forces with the producer once again, this time for a musical project.
“Ryan Murphy and I, we’re actually making a musical together. We don’t really have any plans to be back in the television world together, but we’ll be on Broadway together,” Powell said.
He playfully mentioned the idea of a Scream Queens musical spin-off, joking about the possibility. “‘The Chad Radwell Musical.’ That’s the funniest idea. Just the Dickie Dollar Scholars.”
The Fox series spanned two seasons from 2015 to 2016, featured an ensemble cast including Emma Roberts, Abigail Breslin, Billie Lourd, Lea Michele, and Jamie Lee Curtis. The show, revolved around a college sorority that becomes the target of a series of gruesome murders. Combining elements of horror and dark comedy, Scream Queens garnered a dedicated fan base for its unique blend of satire and suspense.
“The amount of people that come up to me about ‘Scream Queens’ is shocking, probably more than anything else I’ve done,” Powell said. “Maybe it ages like a fine wine.”
Glen Powell’s latest film, Anyone But You, starring alongside Sydney Sweeney, has hit theaters.
