Liam Payne, a former member of the world-famous band One Direction, was found dead in the Casa Sur hotel, located in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The news came to light after a call to the 911 emergency service, registered at approximately 17:04 local time, reporting a man in an apparent state of aggression and possible intoxication in the hotel’s inner courtyard.
The fall from the third floor, a height of around 13 to 14 meters, was fatal. Liam, aged 31, suffered multiple fractures, including one to the base of his skull, which resulted in his instant death.
The SAME (Emergency Medical Care System) team arrived promptly, but could only confirm the death. He was acting erratic, smashed a laptop, and had to be carried back to his room before passing away, witnesses tell TMZ.
The circumstances that led to the fall are still under investigation by the Argentine authorities, with a focus on understanding whether the incident was an accident or whether there was an intention to commit suicide.
Earlier, allegations surfaced that he had forced his 19-year-old ex-girlfriend to undergo a home abortion, sparking widespread outrage. Liam was also alleged for messaging underage girls on his social media.
Now, questions are swirling about whether his fatal fall was an accident or something more sinister, with many noting the strange timing of the incident.
