Some actors have become so well-known for their portrayals of certain characters that the character itself becomes synonymous with the actor. Loki, arguably the most beloved (or perhaps the most hated) villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has been the focus of much attention in recent years. Below we have mentioned a vast list of Tom Hiddleston movies and TV shows.
However, it is not fair to single out Loki in light of the actor’s extensive acting resume, which includes a Tony Award nomination for his performance in the play “Betrayal”. This has led to a shift in one’s perception of the actor, who has appeared in a variety of films and television shows, ranging from action-thriller thrillers to Gothic horror.

The 2011 romantic comedy was the first film collaboration between the actors. Owen Wilson plays Gil Pender, the protagonist of the film, whose heart lies in the golden era of Paris. Inez, Gil’s fiancée, doesn’t agree with his artistic heart.
The movie captures the idea of time travel with a touch of fantasy and heartbreak. Tom Hiddleston plays F. Scott Fitzgerald, the character Gil meets when he travels to the 1920s. Although Hiddleston didn’t have much screen time in the movie, he still managed to grab the audience’s attention. Tom Hiddleston’s most underrated movie might be this one. It’s an emo movie about two vampires, Adam and Eve, who have been married for centuries. They reunite after all these years as Adam struggles with his depression.
Adam is a musician who has helped many young musicians reach their full potential, but he’s not finding peace in his art as the world moves into modernization, leaving behind the real emotions. Genre Drama | Runtime 1 Hour 54 Minutes
Director Joanna Hogg | 6.3/10
Cast Christopher Baker, Kate Fahy, Tom Hiddleston |
Tom Hiddleston’s performance in this award-winning film is a testament to the genre of art-house drama that Joanna Hogg excels at. Edward, played by Hiddleston, is a young man who decides to leave his job and embark on a journey of self-discovery in Africa. To commemorate his departure, his mother, Patricia, and sister, Cynthia, arrange a family vacation in a cottage.
The film is relatable in many respects, as the family members are clearly devoted to one another, yet are unable to agree on every detail. Hogg’s capture of the awkward silence and dreary weather adds to the character’s inner turmoil. Those who are familiar with the genre will be able to appreciate the film more deeply.
Upcoming Projects of Tom Hiddleston
1) Deadpool 3 (November 8, 2024)
It’s been a few years since anyone thought Loki would make an appearance in Deadpool 3, but now that Ryan Reynolds’ threequel is set to be a multi-faceted affair involving Loki’s Time Lord, it’s only natural for him to pop up. It’s been reported that at least two of the characters from Loki will be in Deadpool 3, with reports saying that Owen Wilson will be playing Mobius, and Tara Strong will be playing Miss Minutes.
Given that the TVA seems to be actively hunting for the Merc With The Mouth, it’s possible that Loki could make a brief appearance alongside his time-warping henchman Mobius. Or, once the TVA plays a significant role in the film, a post-credit scene could feature the god of mischief, further setting up further interactions with Kang in a Loki Season 3 or a potential Loki vs. The Kang Dynasty.
2) Fantastic Four (February 14, 2025)
We’ve all been guilty of falling in love with a villain at some point, and falling in love with Loki is something I’m sure I’ll never be able to live with. It’s crazy to think that when he first came out in the MCU with Thor, he was just a supporting character.
Now, he’s got a whole series devoted to him, and it’s been a huge success. The show picks up after Loki is sent to prison for breaking the multiverse, and it’s sure to be even better than the first one – the acting, story, cinematography, and CGI are all top-notch. The series showed off Loki’s softer side, and you’ll see that he wasn’t meant to be a bad guy in the first place.
3) Doctor Strange 3 (To Be Announced)
It has not yet been confirmed, however, it appears that Marvel Studios intends for Doctor Strange 3 to be released prior to The Kang Dynasty, thus potentially setting the stage for the upcoming Multiverse conflict. There were rumors that Loki would be joining the cast in Doctor Strange 3, however, this did not materialize.
As an experienced magic user, it is easy to understand how Loki could be of great help to Doctor Strange and his companion Clea. While Jonathan Majors’ Kang did not feature in the second Doctor Strange film, if the third Doctor Strange film is to incorporate the Multiverse and be released prior to Avengers 5, it is likely that he will be present this time around, as Loki is the most knowledgeable individual in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Wrapping it up!
Certain actors have achieved a certain level of fame through the portrayal of certain characters, such that the character itself comes to be associated with the actor. In recent years, Loki has been the subject of much discussion, as he is widely regarded as the most popular (or possibly the most hated) antagonist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, it is not appropriate to single out Loki due to his extensive acting career, which includes a nomination for a Tony Award for his performance in “Betrayal.” This has caused a change in one’s opinion of him, as he has been featured in a wide range of films and television series, from action thrillers to gothic horror.
