In the exciting Disney+‘s Loki Season 2 Episode 3, titled “1893,” our favorite mischievous protagonist Loki and agent Mobius embark on a journey through time to 1800s Chicago. Their mission: to uncover the enigmatic Victor Timely, a mysterious businessman suspected of disrupting the Sacred Timeline. Along the way, they stumble upon a revelation that not only challenges the TVA but also redefines the very nature of reality itself.
Loki and Mobius Finally Find Out Where Ravonna Renslayer And Miss Minutes Are
After Ravonna Renslayer disappeared in the season 1 finale of Loki, her location remained unknown to Loki, Mobius, and the TVA. In season 2, episode 2, we learned that her TemPad was pinged with “1893” as the destination. The episode starts with Ravonna and Miss Minutes briefly visiting 1968 Chicago before jumping forward 25 years to 1983.
However, her initial quest to find “free will” seems to have shifted as she’s now working with Miss Minutes on a new plan. It’s likely that some time has passed for her, just like it has for the other characters, since her departure from the TVA.
In their quest to locate Miss Minutes, who might help them with the Temporal Loom, Loki and Mobius end up in 1983 Chicago. To their surprise, they encounter Victor Timely before they can find Miss Minutes. This happens shortly after He Who Remains’ demise, and Loki is still deeply affected by it.
It’s already complicated with both the Loki/Mobius and Renslayer/Miss Minutes groups wanting to find Timely. But in Loki season 2, episode 3, Sylvie enters the picture after leaving the TVA. She’s spent her life evading the TVA and is determined to eliminate any variants of He Who Remains. Although Loki manages to intervene, Sylvie is determined to keep her promise.
The Cartoon Clock aka Miss Minutes Reveals Her Jealous Side
In Loki season 2, episode 3, Miss Minutes appears to be envious whenever Ravonna receives too much praise from Timely. However, her jealousy escalates when they are alone. In this private moment, Miss Minutes shares that He Who Remains, likely future Victor Timely, granted her nearly everything she desired but never considered giving her a physical form so that she could be, in her words, “his partner.” Just before Timely sends her away with a TemPad, Miss Minutes admits her love for him. This unsettling scene reveals a side of Miss Minutes that had only been hinted at before.
Sylvie Almost Kills Victor Timely And Ravonna
As the episode nears its end, Sylvie has a chance to kill Victor Timely and take vengeance for the actions of He Who Remains. However, she starts to see a reflection of herself in him. Frightened, Timely explains that he’s a good person and can make better choices than the other variants she’s encountered. This resonates with Sylvie, who believes in everyone’s right to live free from the constraints of predestination. She decides to let him go with Loki and Mobius to the TVA.
Then, Sylvie comes face to face with Renslayer, whom she had sworn to kill. However, understanding the destructiveness of her own obsessive mission, Sylvie doesn’t spare Renslayer in as forgiving a manner as Timely. She pushes Ravonna through a Time Door, and Ravonna ends up at the Citadel at the End of Time with the lifeless body of He Who Remains as the structure crumbles around them.
