After the massive success of Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse and Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse, Chris Miller is ready to bring the final chapter of Miles Morales on screen with Beyond the Spider-Verse.
During a recent interview, Miller shares an update on the upcoming Sony and Marvel movie and says they’re “knee-deep” in production.
“We’re in production…we’re really excited about where the story is going, I think it’s a very satisfying conclusion to the trilogy and it’s as emotional as the other ones…we’re knee-deep in it.”
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is set to bring closure to Morales’ trilogy, though the fate of this rendition of the character remains uncertain. The film will delve into the challenges posed by emerging threats such as Spot and Spider-Man 2099, while also exploring the events surrounding Earth-42’s iteration of Miles.
In a recent interview with Collider, Phil Lord and Miller revealed that more characters would be making appearances in the third film. “You thought that you’ve seen every Spider-Person that you could imagine, but not every Spider-Person we can imagine,” says Lord.
Originally scheduled for a theatrical release on March 29, 2024, Beyond the Spider-Verse has been delayed.
