Spier-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse was postponed indefinitely last month, but fans remained hopeful that the third part will still arrive in 2024. However, that’s not the case anymore.
Beyond the Spider-Verse was initially intended to be released on March 29, 2024 before being pulled off the schedule completely. Writers and producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller couldn’t provide a specific release date for the Across the Spider-Verse sequel, but they did mention that it will hit theaters “when it’s ready.”
“Those conversations are thankfully above our paygrade, but I can tell you we’re already hard at work on it, and we’ll take the time it takes to make it great,” Lord said while speaking to Digital Spy.
Miller further said that although the wait for the movie might be longer than expected, the wait will be justified once it finally releases on the cinemas, bringing closure to the love-story of Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy.
“What we’re trying to accomplish with the film is have it be the most satisfying conclusion to the story than it can be, and take it to places that you haven’t been before. And make you laugh and cry, and cheer and think,” he explained.
